Happy Spring

Really happy it is arriving- am so tired of cold and snow. We had 5 in. on Tuesday but it is already mostly melted. They are predicting cold again this week-end. Haven't been getting much quilting finished- am hand quilting on my Hunters Star wall hanging but it seems like there is always someplace we are expected to go. Our guild has a quilt show in June so am trying to finish up some UFO's
Just wanted to check in-have a good sewing day. Mary

New block

Made the disappearing Pin Wheel block that was on Missouri Quilts. It turned out pretty -also made a smaller one from a charm pack. The larger one is from a layer cake that I rec'd from Kelley Guy at Cotton Charm Quilts a couple years ago. I am going to do a big quilt.
  Snowing here again today. Will Spring ever get here??

Hunter's Star.

We had a sew day at quilt guild and made the Hunters star block. I made mine into a wall hanging and this is it. After the first block is finished it is kinda fun to do. I like trying different things. Today we had our guild meeting and several showed their projects. So many pretty colors.
 Weather is beautiful here today. Ice is thawing and that is good. Sun is shining and very little wind.
 Well best get busy- I entered a string block swap thinking I would use my scraps but I think I am just getting more. Have a good weekend. mary

Hello

Happy New year, I didn't think it was that long ago since I was on my blog. Had planned on showing some pictures but guess my GS put them all on a flash drive so I wouldn't lose them. Will take some more soon. This is a beautiful wall hanging and snowflake hanger that I rec'd from a secret sister. I am making a denim quilt for a cousin who lost her son. It is made from his jeans- have one more row to put on. Hope you all have a good new year and for those who have been having bad weather I hope it warms up soon. It is 23º here with strong winds. It is nice one day and cold and windy the next. Some snow predicted for later. Keep warm and be safe. Mary

  A table topper I made as a gift.

Two mug rugs I rec'd at our Guild party and a table favor. It has embroidery thread, a candy cane and some Hershey Kisses.
  Am still working on some projects thay may be next years gifts.
  Its 1º  above here with more snow and wind forcast. Hope you all are keeping warm. Mary
