Just checking in

I don't have any sewing to show but am just checking in. We have been gardening and mowing- everything is so lush here.
Yesterday my daughter- in -law came and we painted the living room which was quite a job.
I am so appreciative. It looks so nice and I love it. My next project will have to be to straighten up my sewing room or I won't be able to get to my machine. I know it won't be long until it will be messy again but how can you sew in a neat room??

EQ7

Did you hear that a NEW EQ7 is soon to be released? Sounds wonderful. I love my EQ6. The new one will have lots more help in designing quilts and blocks. It will be just in time for a Mother's Day gift.- hint-hint.

Rec'd a fat quarter of very pretty fabric that I won from Pat's blog"Quilting Can Be Fun" I am sure I will find a good project for it. Thank you very much. Pat has some great tutorials when you visit her blog.

tulips

When I took the above picture I thought my tulips were so pretty in with my peonies but guess what.... I went to see them this morning and something has chewed the heads off leaving me only a few. I think I hate rabbits since they are about the only thing that can get in my yard. Guess I'd better pick my asparagus before the varmits decide they like that also.
Haven't been doing much sewing but did help make 125 gift bags for our county extension clubs. Also hand quilted at the local senior center this morning. Have a good day.

Jelly Roll Sampler

Just finished the 4th block of the jelly roll sampler. Its a beautiful day here so have been spending some time outside. DH mulched my garden this morning so I will soon be planting a few things. Hope you all are having a good day.

denim-flannel quilt

I am showing you the back of my denim quilt. The front is like call me crazies denim quilt that she has on her blog. We used the same pattern but they are for different graduates. I washed mine once but think I will do it again so it get a little more raggy. I am making another for my grand daughter who graduates in 2011.

Happy Easter

Hope you all have a happy day- the past few weeks have been so busy that I am missing my sewing machine. I keep saying after Easter but already we are planning on doing some painting.
We are invited out for Easter dinner and the boys will be here with their families for a lunch later. Not long ago I was complaining about all our snow. Now everything is getting nice and green and we have been cleaning the yard and raking.
I hope next week I will have a picture or 2 to show. I hope you and your families all have a Happy Easter.
