Fabric & Block swaps

Do you enter swaps on quilting forums?? I do-love the variety of fabrics. I recently joined a swap of snowflakes and snowmen and rec'd so many different patterns. They are squares of fabric 10 1/2 inches in size. This one was hosted by CBQ. I also have joined block exchanges. Have done 9 patches, Jewel Box, blue and white, red and white and a few others. These are some of my squares- probably won't get them together for a while but I like just looking at them. Click on the picture to enlarge it.

Thimbleberries Sew Day.

I finally finished my table (sewing machine )topper. It was waiting for the binding. I made it small to fit my old sewing machine. I put the tulips on to remind me that spring is on the way even if we have lots of snow-but not nearly as much as the northeadtern states. Happy sewing.

Books I won

The mailman brought these books today. They are from Barb at Bejeweled quilts that was a prize in a giveaway. My plan for this afternoon was to FMQ my table topper but now I have to read the books first. Thanks so much Barb.
Also this am. attended a funeral where we lived for almost 50 years. I don't like to go there for funerals because it is either for a relative or a close friend. It was 1º when we left and 2º when we came home this afternoon. I put a loaf of bread in my breadmaker and read a book. It will be good for dinner tonught. It has been snowing lightly all afternoon. Hope you are all keeping warm.

Valentine Table Topper

This is ready to quilt- it is made from one of the charm packs I won. I found the pattern on aquiltinglife.com
We rec'd 8 more inches of snow on top of the 9 we got last week. It is very cold today- barely above 0 but no wind and the sun is shining. We ventured out for lunch at Taco Johns with friends. Supposed to be very cold all week but we consider ourselves lucky as the weather in other parts of the world is much worse and we are prepared for it. Hope you all are keeping warm and safe.

Vintage Quilt???

Would you call these quilts vintage?? : ) About 30 years ago my DH had serious surgery and was in a body cast for 6 months. On one side the cast was down to his knee and he couldn't do a thing. I had lots of double knit so I had him cut squares- everyone was giving him fabric. I made 2 big quilts and put the rest away- until now. I am sewing them together for full size quilts or throws. Haven't decided how to finish them but am thinking maybe with polar fleece. My college grandkids are wanting them when they are finished. This is a sample of one.
