new block

 This is another block from my sampler class I am taking at our local quilt shop. My grandson put a new photo program on my computer and I am having fun trying to figure it our. He lives in Omaha NE so can't just drop in and help me.
  Last night our quilt shop had Christmas in July. They had lots of pretty things on display. It was fun and I enjoyed seeing everything. I won a charm pack of Moda Mistletoe lane. we also got a nice discount on Christmas fabric and kits. I bought an Advent calendar kit and am anxious to get going on it. Has to be done so I can use it this year.

New blocks

These are my 2 blocks for July- I have some applique blocks finished but haven't photographed them yet . Its been a busy time with my garden and visitors stopping by so I don't get much time in the sewing room. We are supposed to have storms again tonight. Weather has been hot and humid. Hope you are all having a good summer- suppose it won't be long and we will be complaining about the cold weather.

Finished 2 more blocks for my sampler quilt. It is "Gingerbread Joy" and has 5 gingerbread people in it but I may just applique and piece some more blocks for it. have a great weekend. Mary

Halloween fun (early)

Good afternoon, been doing a little sewing so thought I would show you my bats. Our club is making a hanging for every month and will sell chances later. My month is Oct. so this is mine. Am also working on my BOM but haven't quite finished it - maybe tomorrow. Have had lots of guest during June so didn't do much. Hope you all have a Happy 4th an thanks to the veterans for our freedoms. Mary

Good morning quilters- I am back again. Don't know why I am so slow with keeping up but sometimes life gets in the way. CBQ is visiting and we did a couple little projects- but we are keeping busy. I have a sampler class this afternoon and they have 25% off at the quilt shop on red, white and blue fabric so guess what we will be doing.??  Have a great day.

2 more blocks for my sampler

I just finished these blocks that I am making for a sampler thru our quilt shop. The little ones are only 6 inches and look how many pieces it has. Sure glad I have triangulations

We do 3 blocks each month and my next one is an applique. I am punishing myself by doing them but am determined to finish. Happy sewing. Mary

My round robin : (

Good morning quilters.For the last few months I have been doing a round robin in my quilt club. The ones I worked on were so pretty and I am so disappointed in mine. My DH says its ugly. It probably won't show up very well but I  put a basket with birds and heart flowers in the middle. I bought 3- 1/2 yds of batik to match. These are 2 of the some of the ones I worked on and the bottom one is mine.

.. One row was supposed to have flying geese- one stars and another applique.
