Baby Quilt Blocks

  Good morning, each year our guild makes baby quilts for the new year's baby. Finally did my 2 for different quilts.. I had forgotten about them until I saw Sara's. Thanks Sara.
  Frost was predicted here last night but we didn't get it. have a great day. Mary

Play time

Good afternoon- a chilly day here- only in the 50"s- supposed to warm up over the week-end. They had a foot of snow west in the Black Hills.
  I have been hand sewing the binding on a quilt and made a few table toppers for gifts. These are fun. Also have a strip & twist wall hanging that is waiting to be quilted.

A block

good afternoon- a beautiful day in SD Sun is shining- no wind and temp in the 70's. Just finished a block for a friend who isn't feeling well and wanted to show you. It is a freebie from Fat Cat patterns

Strip and Twist

We did the strip and twist block at our Guild on Sat. This is 4 blocks and used 6 

2 1/2 strips. It was very easy to do with the ruler that comes with the book. I am going to put a small border on it and use it either for a wall  hanging or a table topper

My string swap blocks

 Just wanted to show you my string blocks- It was a HGTV swap hosted by CBQ and we could choose our own colors. I think they turned out very good and am going to re-arrange them and sew them together like I have them.
  Spring has arrived- I think . It is only in the 20's here today. Hope you all are having a good day. Mary

Happy Spring

Really happy it is arriving- am so tired of cold and snow. We had 5 in. on Tuesday but it is already mostly melted. They are predicting cold again this week-end. Haven't been getting much quilting finished- am hand quilting on my Hunters Star wall hanging but it seems like there is always someplace we are expected to go. Our guild has a quilt show in June so am trying to finish up some UFO's
