Scrappy quilt

Good afternoon- another nice day here- hope it stays this way until at least March. Went to a funeral in N.E. a fifty year old cousin who died from cancer. Very sad.
Today I am posting a picture of a quilt my daughter and I each made. There were 54 blocks in it and we wanted to use our scraps so the rule was that we could not buy any fabric and had to use only scraps. We each made 54 blocks and then exchanged 27
of them.

Paper Piecing ; (

Have you ever felt like crying when you are working on a block?? Our guild had a class on paper piecing on Sat. and I really don't like paper piecing so it wasn't good. I am posting a picture of my block that I am NOT going to do over. I haven't even pressed it but it didn't turn out too bad if I hadn't goofed. I think I'll try another -soon. (maybe)
I spent the afternoon playing with a Singer 99K that my DH brought home from an auction- it works like a charm.

Table Topper

-Finally finished with "outside work"

Now maybe I can get back to sewing. We have the garden cleaned up and the leaves all raked. Had lots of them this year because we had so much rain. Now I am going to mark my quilt and some friends are going to help me with the hand quilting.It measures 98X112. Also am getting ready for a paper piecing class my quilt guild is having on Saturday. I do not like paper piecing but maybe this will change my mind. It will be a fun day . Hope to have some pictures soon.
