Blocks

CBQ and I are making a scrappy quilt together. We are making 25 blocks for ourselves and the same for each other- so will each have 50 blocks. The only rule is we can't buy any fabric- have to use our scraps. We did this once before but I think my scraps multiply. Don't know the name of the block. Fun

Christmas is over

It was quite a day here. We didn't get all the snow they had in the northern part of the state. We went to Sioux Falls an had thunder, lightning and lots of rain. The wind was crazy during the night so it dried most of the rain.. I gave away my 9 quilts and have a few to give that are here yet. Have been sewing some because its been windy and cold
Hope you all had a great Christmas with your families.

Are you ready for Christmas?

I'm not- but hope to soon get there. I am giving 9 of my quilts away. Still have to put some labels on. Was saving them for wedding presents but don't know when any of my grandkids will ever get married and I need room for more. I have several started and it looks like we may be snowed in again. Blizzard forecast for Christmas day. We have had a few days of 40ยบ weather. CBQ and I are making blocks and will exchange some. The rule is we can't buy any fabric so they are scrappy. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy healthy Near Year.Mary

Trunk Show

Good morning, a chilly morning here- we had a few snowflakes already but it melted right away. Hope it keeps melting until after the holidays : ) This is a picture of our guild president and Catherine who is a certified Judy Niemeyer teacher showing us some of the beautiful quilts she made They are all paper pieced and all beautiful. I have done very little paper piecing and think its too late for me but I am determined to try it.
Sorry I haven't been on my blog much but have been busy with yard and garden work all summer. My DH hasn't been well so I do what I can and so does he.. Happy sewing to everyone. Mary
